Standard Catalog of United States Paper Money
George S. Cuhaj. This is the reference book we use on a very frequent basis. It contains all the necessary information needed on Large, Small, Fractional, MPC, Encased Postage and Phillippine ('02-'49), Errors and more. 480 pages.

Paper Money of United States
20th Edition by Arthur and Ira Friedberg. One of my favorite reference books that gets better with new addition. It is another reference we use on a very frequent basis. Complete reference and pricing information for all US currency plus Confederate and Colonials. This one is always within my reach.

A Collectors Guide to Postage & Fractional Currency - 2nd Edition - Robb Kravitz.  A Stunning Archive of Civil War Currency and 19th Century American Notes.  A must for all Fractional Currency collectors.  243 rarities fully illustrated. Easy to read price guides and tables. Contains an excellent tutorial for beginners. We love this book and refer to it as the bible of Fractional Currency.

Track & Price - by RCMS Inc. V5.0 - Sandy.  A fantastic software tool that covers Auctions, results, census, historical pricing on US Large, Small, Naional, Colonial and Fractional currency. The software also has the ability to maintain your personal inventory plus has population reports from several Third Party Grading (TPG) companies. There is too many features to list here. We use this in detail and strongly suggest that if your seriously in the currency market you need to invest in this software.

Canadian Government Paper Money - 25th Edition - R.J Graham - The Charlton Press.  This is the best Canadian reference guide in the Market. Complete details on all issues of notes with up to date pricing. Great full illustrations, many in color. The book covers notes issued from the 1700's thru modern times. 440 Pages.

Collecting Confederate Paper Money - Field Edition 2008. Pierre Fricke.  This book includes history, grading, rarity and values for all 70 types, all significant known varieties, all major contemporary counterfeit types, and CSA bonds. There are several innovations present in this book, not found in any other paper money book. The regular issue and contemporary counterfeits are presented side-by-side, helping collectors tell the difference. There is a summary of both the type and variety condition census contained within. A price guide for CSA bonds is included. This is a must have book for anyone with more than a couple of hundred dollars worth of Confederate paper money and bonds.

Southern States Currency - Hugh Shull.  This is a wonderful book. Building on the classic foundation laid by Colonel Grover Criswell, paper currency expert Hugh Shull presents an authoritative guide to the state-issued money of the South, from the pre-Civil War era through the war years, and into the late 1800's. Full Color, 488 Pages.

Civil War Encased Stamps - Fred Reed - 3rd Edition (1995).  Encased postage stamps were one of the novel remedies for the shortage of coins during the Civil War (due to hoarding). Today, they connect the worlds of numismatics and philatelics. College Currency - Money for Business Training - (1993) - Herb Schowgoethe.  College currency is money that was issued at business colleges in the 1800s for training of students. It is often attractive, and always interesting. This is a really great book. It includes listings from most states and several Canadian provinces.

A Concise Catalog of U.S. Military Payment Certificates - (2012) - Carlson R. Chamblis.  This book introduces the collector to the world of Military Payment Certificates (MPCs) with a complete reference guide that includes a catalog numbering system, notes printed and condition premium pricing. Chapters include details on Specimen notes, MPC Errors, Voided MPCS, Counterfeits, Replicas, Replacements and POGs of the AAFES.

Comprehensive Catalog of Military Payment Certificates - 4th edition - Fred Schwan. This is the definitive reference works on the subject. Author Fred Schwan who is the acknowledged expert on these colorful and attractive notes, provides a great deal of historical documentation on the use of MPC's, along with photos of vignettes, essays, errors and valuations. This well researched book presents the history of currency used by our troops and current collector values for hundreds of notes in multiple grades.
